Double Digits!
I just wanted to share with all of you that I just completed my very first DOUBLE DIGIT run! 10 miles, baby!
Not gonna lie – it hurt!!! My legs were feeling quite sore the last three miles, which makes me a little nervous for the half marathon.
(Then again, I won’t be running a speedy 5 mile race three days prior, as was the case today.) But still, I finished the full ten miles! Woo hoo!
Immediately afterward I broke into this bad boy.
And then proceeded to drive up the road to Wegman’s, where I did some major damage at the Asian Wokery Bar. I also bought a gigantic container of cantaloupe. Weird combo, I know, but totally what my body is craving.
I am now going to go consume said weird combo.

way t go!!! i’ve never done double digits in a row…the most i’ve done at once is 8 miles then played a full game of basketball an hour later. let’s just say that i did NOT move the next day
so proud of you!
congratulations!!
I’ve only done double digits once in my life, and that was seven years ago! This morning I /walked/ 3.5 miles and felt very proud of myself.
And I used to eat melons after heavy exercise too. Not sure why; maybe the sugar appeals for replenishing muscles, plus all the water in it helps with dehydration?
Congrats!!
Congrats on the awesome run!!! That is so impressive.
Congrats! That’s an awesome running milestone!
And now I am craving melon…hmmm.
Wahoo! So awesome.
Congrats! That’s so cool.
congrats!!! I’ve never gone over 7, and that was crazy!
Congratulations, girl! Double digits seems unfathomable to me!! So proud!
Congrats!! I can hardly pump out 1 right now – 10 is hardly fathomable! Kudos
Aaand – Maple Nut clif bar? That is amazing.
It was my first time trying that flavor and it was majorly YUMMY! Clif bars are like cookies to me!
wow girl!!!! That’s great!
Congrats, girl!
Ah congratulations that’s so awesome! Just be careful, after I ran 10 miles for the first time I didn’t give my body enough rest afterwards and ended up really putting a strain on one of knees. Because of that I basically had to start over at running only 2 miles and had to fore go the half marathon that I had planned to run.
Oh my goodness that does NOT sound like fun! Thanks for the warning…I took today off completely and will be going extremely easy tomorrow too…
Awesome job on the run! The most I’ve done at one time so far is around 3ish. I’m looking forward to building that endurance. Great job.
CONGRATULATIONS! thats so awesome =)
Congratulations, Katie!
Thanks, girlie! Can’t wait to see you Friday!
Well done!!! What half are you training to do?
I’m running the Maryland Half Marathon on May 23!!!
woo hoo. congrats!
