CHOBANI! My First Giveaway and Sweet Cho-Tato Salad

By Katie, March 16, 2010 1:10 pm

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Chobani Greek yogurt. So it’s only fitting that my first giveaway (of what will hopefully be many!) is an awesome sampler case of Greek-yogurty-goodness. :-D

Why am I such a Chobani fan, you ask? Here are a few reasons:

  • It’s all natural: no artificial flavors or preservatives.
  • No growth hormones or rBST-treated milk.
  • Has twice the protein of regular yogurt.
  • The flavored varieties are made with real fruit, as opposed to the syrupy-goop found in some yogurts.
  • It’s thick, creamy, and delicious!

It’s also incredibly versatile. Proof: Sweet Cho-Tato Salad!

I saw this recipe on the Chobani website and knew I had to try it, considering it combines two of my favorites: sweet potatoes and Greek yogurt! I had some with my lunch today, and it was really tasty! I’ll definitely be bringing this healthy side dish to picnics and cook-outs this summer.

I followed the recipe exactly, except for two minor changes: I subbed apple cider vinegar for the white wine vinegar because it’s what I had on hand, and I reduced the amount to 2 tbsp. I also omitted the green onion…and by “omitted” I mean “forgot.”

Ok, back to the free stuff! 8-)

One lucky winner will receive their own CHO-case, which includes TWELVE 6 oz. containers of assorted Chobani flavors!

There are two ways to enter:

1. Visit Chobani’s website, and leave a comment on this post with one new thing you learned from the site – either about Greek yogurt in general or Chobani’s products specifically.

2. If you have a blog, link back to this giveaway on your site and leave a comment telling me you’ve done so, including the link to your post.

You have until this Friday, March 19 at midnight to enter. I will RANDOMLY choose a winner over the weekend using the Random Number Generator at random.org. Good luck!

(I’m so sorry to say that this giveaway is only open to U.S. residents. :-( )

I have never tried Chobani, but am curious to try it out condidering how natural and good it is for you. I like the fact it has no artifical sweeteners (which is what I am needing to eliminate from my diet for health reasons). I’ve never tried Chobani, because I had been recommended Fage, but looking at their website, it looks great! Something I learned from their website was the amount of protein in the yogurt…it’s crazy how much protein in a food most wouldn’t necessarily consider a good source of protein!
